The “Havana Laundry Day” collection features freshly laundered clothing, hanging out to dry against bright, colorful walls. When curating the collection, I purposely chose the “brighter” side of Havana. There is a darker side to Havana as well - poverty and decay abound. I remember one building in particular, where laundry hung up on a roof deck next to a building crumbled into a heap of rubble. But for this collection, the photos highlight not only bright buildings, but bright laundry as well. The collection features what I loved most about Havana, its colorful personality - apparent in the buildings, the music, and the people.
