The Storm No. 11 - Reemerge

Blue skies reemerge once again, transforming the sky from gray to blue.

Costco Run, shopping center off North Druid Hills Road/Briarcliff Atlanta, GA

Original Dumpster color: Grayish-Blue

Searching for dumpsters makes mundane errands a bit more enjoyable.  In order to make a routine trip to Costco a big more fun I decided to scout out dumpsters behind the shopping center located on the corner of Briarcliff and North Druid Hills Road.  Behind the shopping mall sat several dumpsters - and no people - imagine my excitement. Unfortunately, there were only a couple of interesting “paintings” on these dumpsters, but sometimes that’s the way the cookie crumbles.  Fortunately, the contrasting blues on one dumpster worked perfectly for “The Storm”, reminiscent of the gray clouds blowing away and a beautiful blue reclaiming the sky. Shopping centers are a great source for dumpsters because I can usually find four or five in one spot.  I did run into one dumpster located here that I just couldn’t bring myself to photograph. It was fenced in and smelled horrendous, dogs were barking about ten feet away at a doggy daycare facility, and I just couldn’t do it. There are plenty of other dumpsters out there in the city waiting to be discovered.
