Bring Crater Lake Into Your Home
Select from my existing work, available through Spalding Nix Fine Art.
In addition to creating collections, I accept commissions that allow collectors to bring a specific place into their homes. Each commission is a collaboration — a chance to create something deeply personal that connects memory, place, and meaning.
The prettiest sapphire waters I’ve ever seen, fed by rain and snow, Crater Lake is one of the clearest and purest bodies of water in the world. Warming global temperatures due to the release of greenhouse gases such as methane, released from landfills, are impacting Crater Lake in several ways.
A decrease in snowfall continues to trend downward.
Rising water temperatures increase the likelihood of algae growth impacting water clarity.
A deterioration in the Whitebark Pine population at the hands of tiny mountain pine beetles now able to survive at higher elevations.
Many birds are found at Crater Lake including: the Bald Eagle, American White Pelican, Peregrine Falcon, Western Bluebird, and Rufous Hummingbird, as well as numerous warblers, owls, woodpeckers, and flycatchers.
