Uncontained Consumption
A series of composited photographic images created as abstract representations of commonly found marine debris polluting our oceans.
It is estimated that 70 - 80% of marine debris originates on land. Using a process of digital compositing in Photoshop, bits and pieces of paint splatters, grease stains, and other textures found on the surfaces of dumpsters photographed throughout the country are seamlessly layered on top of one another until the original ocean image is buried behind layers of “trash.”
Uncontained Consumption transforms oceans into floating dumpsters, literally and figuratively.
