January Spring Day

Rich textures and whimsical curves set against cloudy skies accented by pops of pale pinks, purples, and peaches amidst patches of white paint splatters, capture the fleeting nature of an unseasonably warm spring day in January. All work is created by layering selected pieces of photographs in Photoshop, resulting in original art pieces capturing both the boldness and the fragility of premature blooms in winter. By seamlessly combining photographs of brush strokes and paint splatters against textured backgrounds, my work resembles abstract paintings, though technically each photograph is a composited image. No filters are used when creating my work, instead, I collage and paint digitally with my own original photographs, all created as hi-res files allowing for printing in large sizes.
