Seascape was created from nine different dumpster walls transforming a photograph taken of the Atlantic Ocean into a sea of blue hues. Seascape represents the beautiful blue waters we admire and all the microbeads (small pieces of plastic less than 5mm in diameter) floating in the sea which we are unable to see with the naked eye. Microbeads live in facial scrubs, toothpaste and body wash, also in lipstick, eyeliner, sunscreen, deodorant, and other care products. Fortunately many countries have banned the use of microbeads in products. However, microbeads are virtually impossible to remove from the environment so microbeads floating in the ocean prior to the ban are still with us today.
